The PlayStation Store‘s Critic’s Choice promotion is almost at its end. After February 12, PlayStation players will no longer be able to save up to 75% on some of the most critically lauded games that have ever graced the platform. Well, until the next sales promotion happens, that is. Regardless, there is still time to grab some really great games on the PS Store, including an RPG that won Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2015.
Award-winning RPG The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is $9.99 on PS Store
CD Projekt Red’s critically acclaimed RPG The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is currently just $9.99 on the PS Store. Typically, this game is priced at $49.99, which means this sale allows PS5 users to save 80% on the beloved video game. This is an incredible deal considering it is the Complete Edition of the game, which includes the base game and its two story expansions, Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine. This is literally hundreds of hours of gameplay packed into one fairly inexpensive package. But, as mentioned above, players who are interested will have to act fast as the deal will only be up until February 13 at 2:59 a.m. ET. For those on the west coast, that’s February 12 at 11:59 p.m. PT.
“You are Geralt of Rivia, mercenary monster slayer,” reads the game’s official description. “Before you stands a war-torn, monster-infested continent you can explore at will. Your current contract? Tracking down Ciri — the Child of Prophecy, a living weapon that can alter the shape of the world.”
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was universally praised when it initially launched in 2015. On the review aggregate site Metacritic, it averages a score of 92 across 79 critic reviews. Its popularity helped spawn a Netflix series starring Henry Cavill as series protagonist Geralt of Rivia. Cavill has since left the project, with Liam Hemsworth now filling in the role for its upcoming season.
