Girlfriend from Hell from Sometimes You and That Guy’s Games is a new arcade 2D puzzle landing on PlayStation 5 just in time for Valentine’s Day. You’ll be taking on the role of Mia, who very much loved Haruto more than life. He was her favorite person in the world, which is why she had been dreaming of the day she and Haruto would finally marry. They had, after all, been together for 5 years! Unfortunately, she was in a very toxic relationship and didn’t realize this. She did everything he wanted her to do, and he was not that good of a boyfriend. She found out the hard way when she proposed to him, and Haruto said no because video games were more important to him! It was then that Mia decided it was time to make Haruto’s life a living hell.
The first level in the game will act as the tutorial so that you can get the hang of things as you learn the basics. You won’t directly control Mia for this one. Instead, you’ll use the left analog stick to move the camera around as you use the right analog stick to control a cursor. You can then interact with items by pressing the X button so that you can add them to your inventory. By collecting items and placing them at specific spots in the house, you’ll be able to work on creating pranks for Haruto. You can select from the items you’ve collected by using the L1 and R1 buttons. Once you’ve chosen one, move the cursor to the spot where you’ll place it so that you can leave it there after pressing the Square button.
What types of things will you be doing to Haruto after he’s rejected your marriage proposal? You could grab a bear trap and place it by the door at the entrance of his room so that he steps on it without noticing it. Maybe you could add some laxatives to his cereal so that he ends up having a very, very hard time. Leave some marvels on the kitchen floor so that he falls after walking over them when making his way to the fridge. Put a spring on the bed so that he’s sent flying when he jumps on top of the bed. You get the picture.
The game features a full trophy list with a Platinum trophy for you to try and add to your collection. The list is split into 2 Bronze trophies, 4 Silver trophies, and 10 Gold trophies for you to work on. As you play through the game, you’ll have to complete all levels – that would be levels 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 – as well as perform a series of pranks on your boyfriend so that he hopefully learns his lesson. It’s a very straightforward trophy list that shouldn’t give you much trouble. As long as you complete the game, then that shiny Platinum trophy will be yours.
