Recently, a couple of known games industry insiders claimed Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 was coming to PS5 soon. While they clarified they were unsure if the PlayStation version of the Xbox exclusive would be announced during the recent State of Play, some may have had hopes for its reveal at the presentation. While it is still unknown whether Ninja Theory‘s latest is coming to Sony’s current-gen platform, another insider has stoked the rumor mill once more, potentially hinting at a release window for the rumored game.
Noted insider claims April will be a “good month for PS5 gamers”
In a recent BlueSky post from The Verge’s Tom Warren, they claim April will be “a good month for PS5 gamers.” Nothing specific is really said beyond that, but some recent rumors may suggest Hellblade 2 could be set for that month.
As reported earlier this week, known insiders Jez Corden and NateTheHate have both suggested a PS5 version of Hellblade 2 is a lock. Specifically, Corden says it’s on its way “pretty soon”, according to his sources. NateTheHate corroborates this by replying to his tweet with a cheeky photo of Senua and a PS5, saying, “Soon…. very soon.”
“Soon” isn’t quite an exact unit of measurement for time, so it’s hard to gauge when a Hellblade 2 could release for PS5. Soon could mean tomorrow, or it could mean September. It could also mean April. Truly, this is all very speculative, so we will just have to wait and see when Ninja Theory decides to reveal PS5’s next Xbox game.
As Warren’s BlueSky post was made the day before the State of Play, it could have been referring to a game from the presentation. Now that the showcase has come and gone, there was one game that did get revealed with an April date. Days Gone Remastered continues the trend of Sony modernizing modern games, if that makes any sense. Anyways, the new version of the Bend Studio game launches on April 25.
