The PS5-exclusive Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Closed Network Test has been detailed by SEGA, revealing players will able to sign-up for the taster on February 19, 2025 before the test gets underway two days later.
Players will be able to sample six tracks, five CrossWorlds, and 16 vehicles during the Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Closed Network Test, as well as take part in online multiplayer races. In terms of characters, the likes of Amy Rose, Dr. Eggman, Knuckles, Sonic the Hedgehog, Shadow the Hedgehog, Tails, and Zazz will be playable during the test.
Game modes are limited to just World Match, although players are able to dabble in some customisation options, while those who complete a survey following the completion of the CNT will receive a “special” bonus to use in-game at launch.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds sees the Blue Blue and pals using Travel Rings to explore new dimensions while tearing up the track solo or as part of a team. Players will be able to cobble together the ultimate racing machine to suit your personal racing style, and unlock new gadgets to further customise your vehicle with to gain the edge on the track.
