2024 was filled incredible video games. Incredible titles like Astro Bot, Balatro, Tekken 8, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, and so many more games brought quality experiences to PC and consoles. However, one of last year’s best never made it onto PlayStation consoles… until now. A critically acclaimed horror adventure is set to release for PS5 later this year digitally and physically.
Horror adventure game Mouthwashing is getting a physical release for PS5
Indie developer Wrong Organ announced its psychological horror game Mouthwashing is coming to PS5 “later this year.” As for specifics on a date and pricing, it seems that news will be shared in the future.
Although Mouthwashing will be available digitally on the PlayStation Store, it will also receive a physical edition via Fangamer. Preorders are not up just yet, but PS5 players interested in grabbing a copy can sign up to get notified when it becomes available. Similarly to the digital edition, details on the release date and pricing are not known.
Alongside the Mouthwashing PS5 announcement, Wrong Organ revealed it hit a sales milestone. The game has now passed 500k sales, a pretty decent feat for an indie horror game currently only available on Steam. Surely, that number will grow when it releases sometime this year.
“And that message is of sincere, unbelievable gratitude,” the announcement read. “Turns out, Mouthwashing just passed 500k sales, which honestly feels more surreal than any bizzaro psychosis. Everyone, you truly are incredible and we’re extremely grateful to you for taking a part in this painful journey and on behalf of everyone here both at Wrong Organ and CR Channel we want to say THANK YOU.”
Mouthwashing released in September last year. On the review aggregate site Metacritic, it received an average score of 87 across 19 critic reviews. Players that cannot wait for the PS5 release can go pick it up on Steam for $12.99.
