Through all of Ubisoft’s trials and tribulations, Rainbow Six Siege has consistently remained one of the company’s biggest games, and top priorities.
In the middle of what will likely be the most important era in the company’s history, one of the big swings Ubisoft is taking to try and revitalize its situation is a completely new revamp of Siege with Rainbow Six Siege X, which will be arriving on PS5 and other current-gen platforms this coming June 10, 2025.
At a live showcase for Rainbow Six Siege X in Atlanta, Ubisoft unveiled our first look at gameplay for Rainbow Six Siege X, which you can check out below.
Rainbow Six Siege X will feature a new 6v6 mode called Dual Front, where players have to secure three enemy sectors while fending off enemies from their own sectors.
Siege X also features a bevy of visual enhancements, new destructible environments, improvements to audio, and is collectively the biggest single change to Siege in years.
It’s a big swing, to try and change this much about one of Ubisoft’s biggest games in one go. It’ll be interesting to see how it goes, and how it impacts Ubisoft before the end of the year.
