Call of Duty Giving Players Free Access to Multiplayer and Zombies for Limited Time

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is hosting a free trial period this weekend that gives gamers access to many of its new multiplayer maps and its new Zombies map, The Tomb. Having been released back in October, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 impressed multiplayer gamers with its fluid new omnimovement system which allows players to sprint, slide, and dive in any direction. The game’s single player story campaign was also praised, as well as its return to round-based Call of Duty Zombies with two launch maps, Terminus and Liberty Falls.

Season 2 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 kicked off just a few weeks ago and brought with it tons of new content for players to delve into. On the multiplayer side, Season 2 added a host of new 6v6 maps in Dealership, Bounty, and Lifeline, and introduced several new weapons as part of the battle pass. Gun Game and Overdrive were added as new modes, as was the new Slipstream Perk and War Machine Scorestreak. As for Zombies, Black Ops 6 added an all-new map in The Tomb, alongside the new Staff of Ice Wonder Weapon.

Call of Duty is giving gamers an opportunity to get a taste of Black Ops 6 for free. Call of Duty detailed a new free Black Ops 6 trial that is set to begin tomorrow, February 6, and run until Monday, February 10. During this time, players will be able to partake in multiplayer and Zombies, and will have access to 10 multiplayer maps, including the three most recent additions: Lifeline, Dealership, and Bounty. Zombies players will be able to enjoy Black Ops 6‘s Liberty Falls launch map, as well as the new Season 2 map, The Tomb.

As for multiplayer modes, gamers can expect Team Deathmatch, Hardpoint, Kill Confirmed, Domination, Kill Order, Gunfight, and the newest mode, Overdrive. It’s important to note that Liberty Falls will have its Directed Mode available during the free trial, which is perfect for gamers who are new to Call of Duty Zombies. The Tomb’s Directed Mode is due to be released later in Season 2, which is why it’s missing from the trial. It’s not known why Black Ops 6‘s Terminus Zombies map isn’t included in the free trial, though it’s likely that Treyarch wanted to showcase its latest Season 2 map in The Tomb and only had room in the trial for two maps.

Interested gamers have until February 10 to jump in and enjoy everything Black Ops 6 multiplayer and Zombies has to offer. Sadly, gamers who partake in the free trial aren’t being treated to any exclusive discounts if they wish to buy the full game. As for Season 2, since it’s only just begun, it’ll be a few more weeks before fans can start to anticipate the mid-season Reload.
