During the recent PlayStation State of Play, Days Gone Remastered was revealed, which elicited a less-than-favorable reaction from PlayStation users.
The company was criticized for the announcement for a number of reasons, with one of the most prominent criticisms pertaining to the pricing of the upcoming game. Despite fan disapporval, it seems preorders for the remaster are doing quite well leading up to its April 25 launch.
Days Gone Remastered in the top 10 best-selling preorders on the PS Store
Pointed out by X user @vikingdad278, Days Gone Remastered is currently in the top 10 best-selling preorders on the PS Store. While it shows it at eight in their post, as of this writing, it is currently in tenth, dropping down a couple of spots.
The other games that make up the current top 10 best-selling preorders are three different versions of Monster Hunter Wilds, two versions of MLB The Show 25, Elden Ring Nightreign Deluxe Edition, WWE 2K25, PGA 2K25, and the digital deluxe edition of Assassin’s Creed Shadows. It should be noted preorders for Days Gone Remastered are beating out Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, and Doom: The Dark Ages.
This is pretty peculiar specifically due to the nature of how pricing works for Days Gone Remastered. Like other PlayStation first-party remasters, users that already own the game digitally or physically can get it at the discounted price of $10. Otherwise, it is $49.99.
However, users that own the game via Sony’s online subscription service PS Plus cannot take advantage of the offer. It is uncertain how many of these preorders are users taking advantage of the $10 deal, but it’s not much of a stretch to believe many of the players that actually do own the game probably jumped on that discounted price point.
