Behaviour Interactive has announced Dead by Daylight’s new crossover with Resident Evil, scheduled from February 10 to February 25. This collaboration with the highly popular survival-horror franchise will introduce special gameplay, iconic Resident Evil characters, and a new map to Dead by Daylight.

Dead by Daylight offers a thrilling multiplayer experience where players face off in 4v1 matches on a map, with one player assuming the role of the killer while the other four try to find a way to escape. Dead by Daylight’s killers come from different horror genres, including slashers and paranormal entities, each with unique abilities to haunt the survivors. The game’s setting and vibe have made it perfect for crossovers with other horror franchises like Alien, Child’s Play, Ghost Face, and Resident Evil. Now, the developer has announced yet another crossover with Capcom’s survival-horror franchise.

Dead by Daylight’s New Character Trial System Explained

Dead by Daylight’s upcoming Character Trials may allow players to get a taste of the game’s large roster and determine which DLC to purchase.

Running from February 10 to February 25, Dead by Daylight brings another Resident Evil crossover to the game. This time, the thematic additions will be featured in the 2v8 mode, where players can take on the role of Resident Evil killers like Nemesis and the Mastermind, along with other characters and legendary outfits for players to choose from. Moreover, the 2v8 arena where players will face off is the iconic Raccoon City Police Department, one of the primary settings of Resident Evil 2, which will also be added to the map rotation. Players will be pleased to know that every character in the crossover will be free to play for the duration of the event.

When is the New Dead by Daylight Resident Evil Crossover Taking Place?

From February 10 to February 25

Alongside cosmetics, the crossover will introduce game updates with new thematic gameplay in 2v8 matches. Both Nemesis and the Mastermind can infect Dead by Daylight’s survivors using different powers that can only be cured with a single antidote found in the Supply Crates. Paying tribute to the legendary Capcom franchise, Herbs, the primary healing items in the series, are introduced as a new mechanic in the crossover. Different types of herbs will be scattered throughout the 2v8 map, each capable of healing a certain amount of damage. However, killers will be granted the ability to destroy herbs to prevent survivors from using them.

On top of all that, six new Resident Evil-inspired cosmetics will be added to Dead by Daylight, including Nemesis’s original look from 1999’s Resident Evil 3 and the New Dawn outfit from the Resident Evil 4 remake for the Mastermind, as well as new classic looks for survivors. With the crossover release date just around the corner, Resident Evil fans and Dead by Daylight players have a lot to look forward to on February 10.
