Dino Crisis is a franchise that, to the chagrin of its fans, has been largely ignored by Capcom of late. A recent trademark though spotted by Gematsu has sparked renewed hope that something big is coming, like a remake or even a new entry in the franchise.
Capcom has surveyed its fans a number of times now, about what franchises they want to see Capcom bring back. Dino Crisis has always been close to, if not at, the top of the results.
Especially considering how Capcom has shown its quality when it comes to being able to revitalize its old franchises, Dino Crisis seems like the perfect fit for a series that Capcom should revisit.
While this trademark could ultimately not mean anything, it’s another dose of hope for fans to cling to for the time being. And of course, who knows? Capcom could be gearing up to announce a new Dino Crisis or a full remake of the first game, or basically anything new with the franchise, sometime later this year.
