Former Bungie designer Chris Proctor has announced on LinkedIn that he has joined up with Horizon Forbidden West developer Guerrilla Games as a Design Director.
Proctor had previously announced that he departed Bungie earlier this year, although at the time it wasn’t known what his future plans were. Proctor had served at the Destiny 2 creator for more than five years, where he worked on weapons for the sci-fi sequel. Prior to that, he cut his teeth on Halo Infinite and Halo 5: Guardians at Halo Studios.

While we’re on the subject of Destiny 2, Bungie revealed last week that it’s not going to fix a bug that allows players of all classes to access specific weapons. The studio is also busy working on its next major project, Marathon, although at the time of writing the company has yet to unveil the project in full.
Guerrilla Games meanwhile is juggling multiple projects last we heard, including an online title based on the Horizon series as well as a brand new entry in the franchise. However, it is believed that Horizon 3 is still some ways off, although an official announcement has yet to materialise.
The Horizon online game is reportedly set to launch at some point this year, at least according to a job listing for a Release QA Intern at Guerrilla Games posted late last year. Recently, it was claimed the MMO Horizon title in the works at NCSoft (separate to Guerrilla Games’ project) was shelved, but this no longer appears to be the case.
