Sony Santa Monica Studio has moved to cool expectations about God of War’s upcoming 20th anniversary panel later this month, revealing there will be no announcements during the event.
There’s been a lot of chatter recently about a possible God of War Collection featuring the Greek saga, and Jeff Grubb weighted in with the suggestion that we could see a formal reveal during the series’ 20th anniversary celebrations after it failed to show up at State of Play in February. However, with below statement from Santa Monica Studio, it sounds like that won’t be happening, at least not as far as that exact date is concerned.
Pantheons collide! We’re so excited to bring a selection of the Greek and Norse cast for this God of War 20th Anniversary panel where we’ll be reflecting on the past two decades of the series. With such a stellar lineup and all the anticipation we’ve seen around the anniversary, we do want to be clear that there are no planned announcements for this event.

We can’t rule out a possible God of War Collection at this point, as there’s every chance it could be revealed at a later date, but as far as the panel goes it’s clear nothing will be announced. As for Sony Santa Monica Studio, the LinkedIn profile for an employee revealed back in September 2024 revealed that the company has multiple unannounced projects in the works.
God of War Ragnarok was released for PS5 & PS4 in November 2022 and later released for the PC with expanded features and graphical options.
