Skydance New Media‘s upcoming Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra is targeting a Christmas 2025 release window, according to one of the voice actors involved in the project.
Khary Payton, who is providing the voice for Black Panther in the game, revealed during a chat with The Direct’s Ruiss Milheim at MultiCon in Los Angeles that Marvel 1943 is still very much in the works, and also offered some insight into how he feels bringing the character of Black Panther to life.
We’re still working. We’re planning on 2025… We’re thinking like a Christmas situation. But I’m so excited.

If you would have told me that I, you know, after everything that happened with the Marvel universe and everything, and as a black kid growing up in America, I mean, of course you think, ‘I want to be Black Panther.’ And then you see it on the big screen and you see Chadwick [Boseman] bring him to life and you’re just like, ‘You know what, this is better than I ever thought it could be.’
Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra is currently in production for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S, with a release planned for 2025.
