Ryozo Tsujimoto, the producer on the Monster Hunter franchise, has been promoted to Chief Producer Officer at Capcom, and will assume responsibility of all the company’s development divisions as of April 1, 2025.
The Resident Evil publisher announced overnight that it is making a number of personnel changes, among which includes the resignation of Yoichi Egawa, who currently serves as Executive Corporate Officer, which also involves stepping away from his role as Chief Producer Officer. His replacement Tsujimoto-san however will not be in charge of Capcom’s pachinko business, which will instead be overseen by his older brother, COO Haruhiro Tsujimoto.

Ryozo and Haruhiro’s father, Kenzo Tsujimoto, is the founder and CEO of Capcom. Ryozo has been with the company since 1996, and has been involved in every major Monster Hunter title since its 2004 inception, having worked on the original game as a planner. He also served as senior producer on Monster Hunter World, Monster Hunter Rise, and Monster Hunter Wilds.
Capcom announced overnight that Monster Hunter Wilds has sold eight million copies in just three days, becoming its fastest-selling game of all time.
