The GO Pass, a new way to earn rewards in Pokémon GO, is coming soon!
Trainers,
Thank you to everyone who joined us for Pokémon GO Tour: Unova! Following the success of the Tour Pass, we are testing a brand-new feature, the GO Pass, in select regions.
GO Pass: April
Trainers in certain parts of the world can earn rewards with GO Pass: April!
From Tuesday, April 1, at 10:00 a.m. to Tuesday, May 6, at 10:00 a.m. local time, the newly arrived GO Pass and GO Pass Deluxe for April will be available in Pokémon GO!
What is the GO Pass?
The GO Pass is a free, limited-time progression track available during a specified period. By collecting GO Points, you can increase your rank to earn rewards.
Some Trainers in certain regions will automatically receive GO Pass: April at no cost on Tuesday, April 1, at 10:00 a.m. local time. You can collect GO Points and rank up to get additional rewards through Tuesday, May 6, at 10:00 a.m. local time.
Rewards unlocked in the GO Pass will expire on Thursday, May 8, at 10:00 a.m. local time, so be sure to claim your rewards before they’re gone!
Please note, the GO Pass feature is currently being tested, and both the free and paid versions of GO Pass and its rewards can only be earned and claimed in the parts of the world that are eligible for the test.
GO Pass Deluxe
The GO Pass Deluxe, a paid version of GO Pass, will be available for Trainers looking for upgraded rewards and faster progression.
While progressing through the GO Pass Deluxe, you’ll be able to claim all of the rewards from both the free GO Pass and the GO Pass Deluxe. You can upgrade to the GO Pass Deluxe at any time and still collect rewards from previously unlocked ranks.
Rewards unlocked in the GO Pass Deluxe will expire on Thursday, May 8, at 10:00 a.m. local time, so be sure to claim your rewards before they’re gone!
Please note, the GO Pass feature is currently being tested, and both the free and paid versions of GO Pass and its rewards can only be earned and claimed in the parts of the world that are eligible for the test.

Another Lucky Trinket?!
The Lucky Trinket will return as the final reward in the GO Pass Deluxe for this month.
A Lucky Trinket is a one-time-use item that can be used to turn one friend from your Friend List into a Lucky Friend. When used, the Lucky Trinket will set the status of you and your chosen friend to Lucky, even if you aren’t Best Friends yet! When you’re Lucky Friends with someone, the next time you trade with each other, both Pokémon will become Lucky Pokémon. After the trade, your Lucky Friend status will be cleared.
This exciting item will only stay in your Item Bag for a limited time, so don’t forget to use it! The Lucky Trinket earned as a part of GO Pass: April will expire on Sunday, May 11, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. local time, regardless of when you claimed it.
You must be at least Great Friends with the Trainer you wish to apply your Lucky Trinket to. You cannot use a Lucky Trinket with a Trainer you are currently Lucky Friends with. Using a Lucky Trinket on a friend does not change the distance at which you can complete a trade. If you do not want to allow other Trainers to use their Lucky Trinkets on you, you can disable this permission in your Settings page.
Differences in GO Pass Rewards
We continually strive to improve the Pokémon GO experience. Before we launch GO Pass globally, we want to ensure GO Pass has a positive impact on the Trainer experience.
As such, some Trainers in regions with access to the GO Pass may see the following differences between passes.
- An additional encounter on certain ranks of the GO Pass Deluxe
- Modified item rewards on certain ranks of the GO Pass Deluxe
- Stickers as a reward on certain ranks of the GO Pass and GO Pass Deluxe
- PokéCoins as a reward on certain ranks of the GO Pass
- Fewer overall ranks of the GO Pass and GO Pass Deluxe
We appreciate the support from the communities with access to the GO Pass as we test this new feature.
Please be aware of your surroundings and follow guidelines from local health authorities when playing Pokémon GO. Upcoming events are subject to change. Be sure to follow us on social media, opt in to receiving push notifications, and subscribe to our emails to stay updated.
