Battlefield Labs’ play testing is ongoing as the development teams continue to tweak and perfect the mechanise for the next Battlefield game, and early footage has appeared online offering a glimpse at what to expect from its destruction mechanics.
One video, which you can see here, clearly reveals that the team at Battlefield Studios has really upped their game in regards to destruction, with gunfire ripping through concrete pillars before a huge chunk of the structure is brought crumbling to the ground. Another video also depicts the force of a snipe blast on a player, sending them tumbling backwards.

Battlefield Labs is a new initiative that allows select users to test drive the new Battlefield, with the first playtest kicking off last week. The new Battlefield game is being worked on by a total of four major teams — DICE, Ripple Effect Studios, Criterion Games, and EA Motive — which fall under the moniker of Battlefield Studios.
EA has confirmed that the new Battlefield game will launch by April 2026.
