There are many outfits to unlock in Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, but you won’t be able to change clothes when the game begins. Unfortunately, you’ll have to wait a while until you can customize Majima’s look. You’ll be stuck with his default duds for the first few hours, but you can see when the option to change clothes is unlocked below.
When is the ability to change clothes unlocked in Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii?
The ability to change outfits in Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii is unlocked during Chapter 2. After leaving Madlantis, you’ll set sail for Honolulu. When you arrive in the city, you’ll need to head to the Revolve bar to ask the bartender for info on getting the Goromaru refitted.
When you arrive at Revolve, the bartender suggests that you can use the bar’s loft as your home base in Honolulu. He also explains that he ordered a bunch of clothes online and ended up hating them, and shows you the dressing booth. From this point on, you’ll be able to access these booths in various locations throughout the game to change Majima’s outfit.
In Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, you get two outfit slots:
- Casual Wear: Worn in Mad Dog style and in Honolulu.
- Pirate Outfit: Worn in Sea Dog style and outside Honolulu.
You can store five variations of each costume so you can quickly switch between outfits you’ve created.
There are also two types of outfits available in the game. You can either mix and match between different head, eyepatch, makeup, ear, upper body, lower body, hand, and feet slots or select a Clothing Set, which changes Majima’s entire outfit. Clothing Sets include the deluxe edition DLC, which allows you to choose from a selection of iconic outfits from characters across the franchise.
