Agent Fall from eastasiasoft and Pufferfish Digital brings us a retro side-scrolling 2D shooter on PlayStation 5. After strange activity is detected at a secret military base in the desert, it’s now up to you to investigate and find out what is going on before anything really bad happens! You’ll be able to choose from 4 different agents with a license to kill in order to infiltrate the base.

You can play through this game in one of three difficulty settings: Recruit, Veteran, or Insane. When playing in the Recruit difficulty setting, your HP will be increased while the HP of all enemies and bosses will be decreased. Playing in the Veteran difficulty setting will offer you the standard experience, balanced to provide a good challenge without feeling overwhelmed. As for Insane, it certainly does its name justice! Your HP will be reduced to 1, the HP of all enemies and bosses will be increased, and it features permadeath, so once you die, you’re done!

Once you pick between playing as Johnson, Smith, Bianchi, or Diaz, you’ll get to learn the basics during a short tutorial. You’ll control the character of your choice by using the left analog stick or the D-Pad. You’ll jump by pressing the X button and will shoot by pressing the Square button. Launch grenades in your arsenal by pressing the Circle button. They will travel in an arch, so you’ll have to aim carefully in order to get the job done, or else you could end up with a grenade explosion right on top of you!

While your main weapon has unlimited ammo, the additional weapons that you’ll collect along the way will not. The good news is that they’ll deal more damage, so be sure to make every bullet count! You’ll end up grabbing yourself weapons such as a shotgun, a machine gun. a mighty flamethrower, a deadly bazooka, a plasma gun, and even a mini gun! You can also grab yourself some extra grenades here and there, as well as a bulletproof vest that will add an extra layer of protection. Since this game gives your character a health bar, think of the bulletproof vest as a second health bar to aid you.

And now, let’s talk about the trophies! This game has a full trophy list with a Platinum trophy waiting for you. And since it’s a Cross-Buy release, if you own a PlayStation 5 console, you’ll be able to download both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions of the game and each one will have its own trophy list with a shiny Platinum trophy! Each list will be split into 2 Bronze trophies, 16 Silver trophies, and 6 Gold trophies for you to work on.
