PlayStation has begun rolling out the compensation it promised after last month’s PlayStation Network outage.
The first weekend in February 2025 was a scary time for PlayStation players who have been around this platform for more than a decade. The PlayStation Network was down, and it was down for an entire day in which Sony mostly stayed silent, not providing updates to players as to what was wrong.
Sony acknowledged the issue when reports first began coming in, and only after was it back up, a full day later, did it communicate anything to players regarding the outage. Of course, at that point the communication was to say that the issues were resolved.
PlayStation also promised compensation to players for the outage, saying that all PS Plus subscribers would get an extra 5 days added on to their subscription. Spotted by Push Square, that compensation has begun rolling out to eligible players.
If you want to see if you’ve received your promised extra 5 days, then you’ll need to log into your PlayStation account, navigate to ‘Subscriptions Management’ and compare the renew date to your last billing. If it’s 5 days off, then you know it’s been added to your account.
