Sony Interactive Entertainment has established a UK PS5 rental service using the company’s PlayStation Direct service.
The format holder has teamed up with leasing firm Raylo to get things off the ground, with leases for the PS5 Digital-Only Edition, the standard PS5 and the PS5 Pro available as part of a monthly rolling contract, or for renting for periods of 12, 24 or 36-month agreements.
If you want to cancel you can do so at any point, but must pay a fee if you decide to cancel before 18 months have passed. Renting a PS5 has its benefits, as it allows you to get your hands on a console if you can’t afford to buy one outright. However, depending on how long you rent one, it could end up costing you more than buying one, albeit in the long run.
