Preorder bonuses for Bungie’s Marathon have reportedly leaked on the Steam backend ahead of the game’s formal reveal, which is expected to happen in the coming months.
The SteamDB Discord server has spotted additional Marathon editions and packages that relate to preorder bonuses were uploaded to the backend. Among the preorder bonuses include free Marathon skins that can be used in Bungie’s shared-world shooter, Destiny 2.
This would indicate that a reveal is set to happen soon, which according to Jeff Grubb, is indeed happening in April 2025. This comes after the game’s no-show at State of Play back in February.
Marathon wasn’t here because they’re probably going to do their own thing. Bungie does their own thing usually for Destiny. They’re going to adopt that same ‘we’re going to talk to our audience’ strategy this year as well. I think April [is] when we probably hear from them about Marathon. And it would be its own thing separate from a State of Play.

Marathon is currently in development for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S with a release date yet to be announced.
