We’ve been hearing for some time now that there’s a full remake of Bethesda’s open-world classic The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion in the works, being made in Unreal Engine 5.
It’s said that Virtuous is working on it, and that while so far they’ve been incorrect, we’ve heard that an official reveal has been imminent for more than a month.
On Wednesday we got another sign that a reveal would be imminent, as both VGC and NatetheHate are reporting that at some point in the next few weeks, we’ll get our first real look at the remake.
First called out by NatetheHate and then corroborated by VGC, this is the biggest sign so far that a reveal is actually on its way. NatetheHate claims it’ll be out before June 2025, while VGC goes even further to say that it has heard it could be out as early as April 2025.
While all this still remains speculation until we’ve received an official reveal, it might be time to start thinking about which weekend you could block off in the coming weeks for the purposes of jumping back into Cyrodiil.
