The GEX Trilogy Is Bringing The 90s Platforming Hero To PS5 In Summer 2025

Limited Run Games has announced that GEX Trilogy is launching in Summer 2025 for PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X/S.

The collection remasters GEX’s much-loved 90s adventures GEX, GEX: Enter the Gecko, and GEX 3: Deep Cover Gecko for modern platforms using the Carbon Engine, which brings a wealth of improvements and extras to the table.

GEX is the original instalment in the classic franchise and features over 300 line-liners and sound effects from HBO comedian Dana Gould, and finds our hero sucked into the Media Dimension, where he must dispatch TVs in each world to escape. The game features over 450 frames of buttery-smooth 3D animation and hand-rendered backgrounds.

Following this up is 1998’s GEX: Enter the Gecko, where Gould one again returns to provide more 500 lip-synched one-liners as GEX makes use of his 125-strong attacks to explore the Huge Media Dimension while sporting a variety of new getups, including a secret agent suit, kung fu uniform, and spacesuit.

Bringing up the rear is 1999’s GEX: Deep Cover Gecko, which brings a new 3D camera system and plenty of additional techniques for GEX scubas scuba diving, gliding, machine gunning and fire-ball hurling. Gould delivers over 1,000 celerity impressions and wise-cracks this time around, and players will able to strap on a variety of new outfits including Private GEX, GEX Capone, and Count DracuGEX.

GEX Trilogy launches this summer.
