That may be about to change, though, as a new rating in South Korea has popped up for both this and the long-awaited Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2.
Silent Hill F And Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 Receive Ratings From South Korean Ratings Board
The two ratings were first spotted by Gematsu and later shared on Bluesky. They appeared on the South Korean ratings board alongside upcoming titles such as Elden Ring Nightreign and Avowed, indicating that news about the two games could be coming soon.
Silent Hill F was first revealed in October 2022, and will be the first new mainline title in the franchise since 2012’s Silent Hill: Downpour. The game will swap Silent Hill’s traditional setting for 1960s Japan, “featuring a beautiful, yet horrifying world.”
The game is being penned by Ryūkishi07, who is known for their work on multiple critically acclaimed visual novels, including the ‘When They Cry’ series. Ryūkishi07’s themes include “murder mysteries, psychological and supernatural horror,” making them the perfect fit for the Silent Hill franchise.
With the success of the Silent Hill 2 remake, now is a great time to be a fan of the series.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 has had a slightly more tumultuous development cycle. The game began development around 2015/2016, but multiple staff dismissals, a change in development studios, and other development problems saw it receive delay after delay, with its new release date tentatively scheduled for later this year.
It was reported that the game was nearly canceled before it was handed over to a new development studio, and it seems like the fruits of its labor may finally be coming to fruition with these new ratings.
