New World is Getting Its Own Battle Royale Mode
Amazon Games reveals that it is currently experimenting with a battle royale mode for its popular class-based MMORPG New World: Aeternum.
Prime subscribers can now claim GOG codes for Star Wars: Bounty Hunter, Tomb Raider: Underworld, Call of Juarez: Gunslinger, Overcooked 2, and Dredge. As one of the top indie games of 2023, Dredge is considered part fishing simulator and part survival horror, as eldritch terrors await sailors who venture too far out into the water. By contrast, Overcooked 2 is a lighthearted, multiplayer title in which players run a restaurant and try to make as many meals as possible. Tomb Raider: Underworld, Star Wars: Bounty Hunter, and Call of Juarez: Gunslinger each feature different forms of gunplay for players to try out. These five games are available to claim until January 5 on Amazon’s Prime Gaming site.
Starting December 5, Prime subscribers can claim WALL-E and Quake 2 at no added cost, with the latter title being downloadable via another GOG code. Despite being available for nearly three decades, the Quake franchise still has one of the most dedicated communities that are still active, with Quake 2 being no exception. Both the original version of Quake 2 and its 2023 enhanced re-release are available on GOG as part of the same package, making this month’s Prime Gaming offer all the better for fans of old-school FPS titles. Each ensuing Thursday of December, more games will be added to the free Prime Gaming rotation, including Electrician Simulator, Simulakros, Predator: Hunting Grounds, and The Town of Light.
Along with the free game offers, Amazon Prime subscribers can also use Amazon Luna to stream titles such as Death Stranding and The Expanse: A Telltale Series throughout the month. All in all, Amazon subscribers will have plenty of content to pick from as 2024 draws to a close.
